I wanted to share some of the reader comments that I’ve received over the last few months. It has been a challenge switching from one medium – print, to a totally different one – web. It has been a great blessing to me because I can now so easily and with much less physical effort (no more lugging huge bundles of magazines all over the state) continue to provide articles for local women (NH and n. MA). However, the challenge is to get the message to our formers readers and to new readers to visit our new website, people are still going to www.applaudonline.com and we are no longer there. I’ve kept the site active because it is helping us with SEO positioning but we are not adding any material to the site. So I hope those of you reading this blog with share the news that Applaud magazine is now Applaud Women at www.applaudwomen.com. And, there is now tons more information and resources for (local) NH women and n. MA women.

Dear Susan – I just read a couple of articles from Applaud – what a wonderful resource and inspiration for women. I’m so excited that you have initiated this needed tool. I’m 49, an artist working 2 jobs, married to my very best friend after 2 failed marriages, etc.
As I strive to achieve the balance of work, health, exercise, I try to stay positive and upbeat. This morning I was doing my 5 mi bike ride at 6 a.m. and realized that I am an amazing person and praised myself for it. I find that as women we constantly have to praise each other and laugh, get excited about new endeavors and take the time to indeed smell the flowers. I cannot wait to delve into the entire issue and each issue from now on to stay connected to the rest of the world from my rural NH home. I’m just beginning to get my painting (I paint landscapes and animals on wooden bowls) out in the world and am enjoying the feedback. You are equally talented at providing joy and happiness to women who can read and learn how to make our lives better – or what the new fashions are and dream of wearing them! Thank you – CHRIS
